The client operates in the broader field of advanced digital technologies, with a strong track record of delivering innovative solutions to business clients across various industries. The organization combines commercial activity with technical expertise and supports a diverse portfolio of partners and customers, while also managing a network of affiliated companies and subsidiaries.
The Role
The Head of Accounting will assume full ownership of the accounting function, providing strategic oversight and operational leadership across the organization and its subsidiaries. The role is instrumental in safeguarding compliance, ensuring financial integrity, and driving the ongoing optimization of accounting processes at a group level.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, organize, and supervise the Accounting Department of the company and its subsidiaries
- Ensure accurate and compliant maintenance of accounting records in line with Greek GAAP and applicable tax legislation
- Prepare financial statements and management reports
- Oversee tax compliance (VAT, tax filings, reconciliations) across entities
- Monitor and control accounts receivable and payable
- Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisors, auditors, and public authorities in all operating countries
- Monitor cash flow and support financial planning and budgeting processes
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal controls and accounting procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 4–5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a similar leadership role
- Strong knowledge of accounting and tax legislation
- Experience in commercial/trading companies, preferably with international activity
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong organizational, leadership, and team management skills
- High level of accuracy, responsibility, and professionalism
- Good command of English
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified A’ Class Accountant License
- Experience with Soft1 ERP system
