Head of Technology – Piping Power (m/f/d)

The Role

This is a unique opportunity to shape something from the ground up. As our new Head of Technology – Piping Power, you won't be stepping into an established structure — you'll be building it. We are creating this position because we believe that technology leadership, close customer dialogue, and product innovation are the key drivers of our next growth chapter.

You will define how we develop products, how we understand our markets, and how we build a team that turns technical excellence into real business impact. Brno — with its vibrant engineering university landscape — gives us a unique advantage, and you will actively leverage it.

Your Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing team of engineers — recruiting, developing, and inspiring talent from day one
• Own the technology and product roadmap for the Piping Power business unit, aligned with market needs and strategic growth targets
• Visit customers regularly alongside Key Account Managers — actively listening, identifying application challenges, and translating insights into product development priorities
• Drive product innovation for industrial piping power solutions with a clear focus on performance, reliability, and differentiation
• Establish R&D structures, processes, and a culture of innovation within the business unit
• Build and nurture a university partnership program — create an attractive internship and experimentation environment for students from Brno's technical universities, establishing the company as a go-to destination for engineering talent
• Act as the technology voice at management level, reporting directly to the CEO and contributing to strategic decisions
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Product Management to bring innovations to market efficiently

Your Profile

• Engineering degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, fluid dynamics, or a comparable industrial discipline

• At least 3 years of professional experience in an R&D environment focused on industrial products — such as piping systems, fluid handling, mechanical components, or comparable hardware-based solutions

• Demonstrated ability to lead or develop engineering teams, even if in a project leadership capacity

• Strong customer and market orientation — you are comfortable in front of clients and know how to turn conversations into product strategy

• Entrepreneurial mindset: you thrive when building, not just maintaining

• Affinity for working with young engineering talent and an interest in connecting industry with academic institutions

• Business-level fluency in both English and German — essential for this role

• Knowledge of the Brno technical university ecosystem is a plus

⚠️ Important: This role requires a strong industrial and hardware product background. Candidates with a primary focus on IT, software development, or electronics are not the right fit for this position. We are looking for someone rooted in the physical, industrial world.
