HEAD OF SUPPLY CHAIN

Position Overview

We are seeking an driven Head of Supply Chain to lead the end-to-end supply chain operations at our site in Blansko. This strategic role oversees, logistics, warehousing, and material planning for APIs and intermediates. The ideal candidate brings solid supply chain leadership experience within a GMP-regulated environment and excels at aligning operational performance with business objectives.

You will be responsible for the strategic development and operational execution of the supply chain, ensuring reliable material flow, cost control, and compliance. In addition, you will manage local capital investment projects within the supply chain scope and contribute to cross-functional collaboration across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Supply Chain Department, including Logistics, Warehousing, and Material Planning teams.
• Oversee end-to-end material flow to ensure timely and cost-effective supply of raw materials, intermediates, and APIs.
• Set and maintain strategic production planning aligned with business forecasts and GMP manufacturing needs.
• Develop and manage sourcing strategies for indirect materials, ensuring optimal supplier performance and risk management.
• Ensure efficient and compliant warehouse operations and transportation processes, in accordance with legal and safety regulations (e.g., REACH, CLP).
• Manage supply chain-related capital investment projects, including vendor negotiations and cost-benefit optimization.
• Lead, coach, and develop direct reports to build a high-performing and motivated team.
• Collaborate with key internal stakeholders (Production, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Finance) to support site goals and smooth operational execution.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, internal SOPs, and external regulatory requirements.
• Own and manage the Supply Chain budget (OPEX and CAPEX within scope), driving cost optimization and resource efficiency.
• Promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the department.

What We Expect

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Industrial Management, Chemistry, or related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of managerial experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Production within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Proven leadership in managing cross-functional supply chain operations.
• Solid knowledge of GMP and pharmaceutical production practices.
• Strong analytical, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Legal compliance with §20 of Czech Drug Law 378/2007 Sb.

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with ERP and planning systems (pref. SAP).
• Background in cost control and supply chain financial forecasting.
• Familiarity with lean or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to lead through change and complexity.
