Seeking a leader to own the overall quality strategy and ensure each software release meets high standards for safety, reliability, performance, and compliance. The role includes managing a QA team, expanding automated test coverage, and collaborating closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps.
- Lead and develop the Quality Engineering team
- Plan and coordinate verification & validation for software releases
- Scale automated testing with Playwright, TypeScript, and Cucumber
- Represent Quality Engineering across the organization and key stakeholders
- Own verification & validation activities end-to-end
- Apply quality principles at scale and manage risks
- Define and communicate key metrics for test automation and product quality
Job requirements
- More than 10 years in software quality, including 3 years in a management role
- Strong QA methodology expertise and hands-on experience with automated testing (e.g., Playwright/Cypress)
- Familiarity with BDD (e.g., Cucumber)
- Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment is required
- Experience building scalable testing processes in fast-growing environments
- Location: ideally Vienna, willigness to move; existing Austrian work permit required
