About the Opportunity
Our client is an established and innovative B2B game studio supplying premium casino content to leading operators across regulated markets worldwide. As the business continues to expand internationally, they are seeking a highly experienced Head of Risk & Fraud to establish and lead the company's risk management and fraud prevention strategy.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for safeguarding the integrity of the studio's products, platforms, partnerships, and operations. The successful candidate will work closely with Product, Technology, Information Security, Compliance, Commercial, and Executive teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the business while supporting sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the company's Risk & Fraud strategy, framework, and governance structure.
- Identify, assess, and manage operational, technical, commercial, and fraud-related risks across the organisation.
- Lead investigations into suspicious activity affecting game integrity, platform security, partner integrations, and promotional abuse.
- Monitor emerging fraud trends, cyber threats, and industry developments that could impact the business or its partners.
- Collaborate with Product and Development teams to ensure risk controls are embedded into game design, platform architecture, and release processes.
- Work closely with Information Security teams to mitigate internal and external threats.
- Develop fraud detection methodologies and reporting mechanisms using data analytics and business intelligence tools.
- Establish risk assessment processes for new products, markets, partnerships, and technology initiatives.
- Define and monitor key risk indicators (KRIs), fraud metrics, and operational KPIs.
- Support certification, compliance, and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Conduct regular risk reviews and present findings, recommendations, and mitigation strategies to senior leadership.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers, certification bodies, security partners, and regulatory stakeholders where required.
- Build and lead a high-performing Risk & Fraud function as the business continues to scale.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in Risk Management, Fraud Prevention, Information Security, Compliance, or a related discipline within the iGaming industry.
- Previous leadership experience within a B2B gaming supplier, game studio, platform provider, sportsbook supplier, or similar technology-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of game integrity, platform security, fraud prevention, and operational risk management.
- Experience investigating fraudulent activity, security incidents, and operational vulnerabilities.
- Knowledge of gaming certification standards, regulated markets, and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to identify trends, risks, and business opportunities.
- Ability to translate complex risks into practical business solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working closely with Product, Technology, Security, and Commercial teams.
- Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and information security principles is highly desirable.
