Position Title QA/QC Head
Position Summary
Cemindia Projects Limited is seeking an experienced QA/QC Head with a minimum of 15 years of experience in quality management for EPC, industrial construction, infrastructure, cement, steel, power, port, and heavy civil projects. The incumbent will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and monitoring Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems across all projects to ensure compliance with client specifications, industry standards, and company quality objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management System
- Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide QA/QC policies, procedures, and quality management systems.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and client requirements.
- Establish quality objectives and monitor performance across projects.
Quality Assurance
- Prepare and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Control Procedures.
- Review project quality plans and ensure adherence during execution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and quality best practices.
Quality Control & Inspection
- Monitor quality of civil, structural, precast, foundation, and industrial construction activities.
- Ensure proper inspection and testing of materials, concrete, steel, welding, and construction works.
- Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
Audits & Compliance
- Conduct internal quality audits and site inspections.
- Ensure timely closure of non-conformities and corrective actions.
- Support client audits, third-party inspections, and certification requirements.
Documentation & Reporting
- Establish and maintain quality documentation systems.
- Review quality reports, test records, inspection reports, and project quality metrics.
- Prepare management reports highlighting quality performance and improvement opportunities.
Client & Consultant Coordination
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and third-party agencies on quality-related matters.
- Address quality concerns and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Participate in project review meetings and quality assessments.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor QA/QC engineers, inspectors, and quality teams across project locations.
- Define performance objectives and build a strong quality-focused culture.
- Conduct training and awareness programs on quality standards and procedures.
Risk Management
- Identify quality risks during project planning and execution.
- Implement preventive and corrective actions to minimize defects and rework.
- Ensure lessons learned are captured and shared across projects.
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Certifications in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or equivalent) preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience in QA/QC management for EPC, industrial construction, infrastructure, cement, power, steel, port, or heavy civil projects.
- Proven experience in establishing and managing quality systems across multiple projects.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, inspection practices, and quality management systems.
- Familiarity with IS Codes, international standards, and project specifications.
- Experience in material testing, concrete quality control, welding inspection, and civil construction quality requirements.
- Proficiency in quality documentation and reporting systems.
