Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers for cost, quality, and delivery improvement.
- Conduct supplier negotiations for pricing, contracts, payment terms, and long-term agreements.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through value engineering and alternate sourcing.
Procurement & Supply Management
- Ensure timely procurement of materials to support production schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with planning and operations teams.
- Review purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders.
- Track supplier performance on quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Conduct supplier audits and periodic performance reviews.
- Resolve supplier-related issues concerning quality, delivery, and commercial matters.
- Promote supplier development initiatives.
Cost Management
- Analyses spent data and identified opportunities for cost optimization.
- Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supply risks.
- Implement cost-saving projects and report savings periodically.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain contracts, purchase records, and supplier documentation.
- Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Stores teams.
- Support new product development and localization initiatives
