Head of Project Development - Onshore Wind

Location: West Germany

Our Client:

We are partnered with an established independent renewable energy investor & developer preparing for strategic expansion into Germany. Backed by significant committed capital and supported by a technical and investment team, this organisation is now looking for a Head of Project Development for Onshore Wind.

This role involves:

  • Drive origination and acquisition of the first onshore wind projects
  • Build deep partnerships with developers, advisors, land agents, and local authorities
  • Evaluate commercial, technical, and regulatory project risks & opportunities
  • Support investment cases, due diligence, and transaction execution
  • Represent the business across associations, events, and regulatory forums
  • Initially an autonomous leadership role with future team-building scope

The ideal candidate:

  • Strong network in the German renewable energy market
  • Experience in project development, M&A, transactions, or project finance
  • A commercial mindset and ability to spot value quickly
  • Confidence engaging with developers, municipalities, landowners & investors
  • Entrepreneurial drive and ownership mentality
