The Head of Laboratory will be responsible for leading and managing overall laboratory operations while ensuring compliance with international quality and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely diagnostic services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day laboratory operations, ensuring adherence to ISO and other international standards.
- Lead, develop, and mentor laboratory staff to maintain high levels of performance and efficiency.
- Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and optimal utilization of advanced diagnostic and analytical equipment.
- Design, implement, and monitor quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) systems, including infection prevention protocols.
- Oversee the accuracy, reliability, and timely delivery of laboratory test results.
Qualifications & Experience:
- FCPS in Microbiology/Pathology or PhD in Microbiology.
- 10–15 years of relevant post-qualification experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role as Head of Laboratory.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth understanding of regulatory standards and laboratory compliance requirements.
