As we continue scaling across long-form, short-form, branded content, and special projects, we are looking for a highly hands-on creative leader who can help elevate the quality, scalability, and innovation of our creative pipeline.

About the Role

The Head of Creative is responsible for overseeing the creative development pipeline across the Stokes Twins ecosystem—from ideation and scripting through production support and final editorial vision across YouTube and all social platforms.

This is a highly hands-on role. You should be equally comfortable leading writers' rooms, developing concepts, rewriting scripts, directing talent on set, shaping edits, and helping define the overall viewer experience.

The ideal candidate deeply understands YouTube-native storytelling, audience psychology, retention mechanics, viral packaging, and creator-led entertainment. Just as importantly, they know how to turn creative instincts into repeatable systems that allow a founder-led brand to scale without losing what made it successful in the first place.

Mission

The mission of the Head of Creative is to make the creative product better. This role exists to help scale the Stokes creative DNA across the company by improving the outcome of every major project it touches—stronger ideas, stronger scripts, stronger openings, stronger character moments, stronger comedy, stronger packaging, stronger execution, and a stronger final viewer experience.

Every creative decision should ultimately answer three questions: Why would the audience click? Why would they keep watching? Why would they come back?

What You'll Own

Creative Development & Concept Strategy

  • Lead the development of high-performing concepts across long-form YouTube, short-form content, branded content, and special projects.
  • Build ideas around strong titles, thumbnail promises, hooks, stakes, escalation, comedy, character moments, and clear audience payoff.
  • Develop repeatable formats, franchises, and creative systems that can scale beyond one-off videos.
  • Use audience behavior, analytics, trends, competitive research, and platform expertise to strengthen ideas before production begins.

Story, Scripting & Viewer Experience

  • Lead and improve the scripting process from initial concept through shoot-ready draft.
  • Write, rewrite, and refine scripts with stronger hooks, clearer structure, better pacing, stronger comedy, and more satisfying payoffs.
  • Ensure videos have clear story engines, strong openings, escalating stakes, memorable endings, and compelling viewer experiences.
  • Partner closely with editors and post-production leadership to ensure the final product delivers on the promise established by the title, thumbnail, and opening.

Creative Leadership & Production

  • Lead and mentor writers, creatives, researchers, and development contributors while maintaining high creative standards.
  • Serve as a creative leader during production by helping solve story, performance, pacing, comedy, and clarity challenges in real time.
  • Help shape stronger character moments, physical comedy, visual storytelling, and audience connection across the Stokes universe.
  • Collaborate closely with production, post, packaging, social, partnerships, and leadership teams to align creative vision and execution.

Creative Systems & Scalability

  • Build processes that improve ideation, scripting, creative reviews, shoot preparation, edit feedback, and postmortems.
  • Create systems that reduce founder dependency while preserving the quality, voice, and audience appeal of the Stokes brand.
  • Help the team become more resourceful, efficient, and creatively independent as the company scales.
  • Continuously improve creative operations through experimentation, data, and emerging technologies.

AI & Future Creative Workflows

  • Use AI to accelerate concept development, visualization, storyboarding, research, scripting, creative exploration, and workflow efficiency.
  • Help the team test ideas faster, visualize concepts earlier, and improve creative decision-making before production resources are committed.
  • Continuously evaluate new tools and workflows that improve creativity, speed, scalability, and execution quality.
  • Use AI as a force multiplier while maintaining strong creative judgment, originality, and taste.

Who You Are

  • Proven experience leading creative development for a major YouTube channel, creator brand, digital entertainment company, or high-output content studio.
  • Deep understanding of YouTube storytelling, retention, audience psychology, viral packaging, and creator-led entertainment.
  • Exceptional concept development, scripting, rewriting, and creative leadership abilities.
  • Highly hands-on across ideation, writing, production, and editorial—not someone who only provides high-level feedback.
  • Strong instincts for character-driven entertainment, physical comedy, visual storytelling, and internet culture.
  • Able to identify creative problems quickly and provide practical solutions under pressure.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with experience managing creative teams.
  • Resourceful enough to improve ideas through creativity, structure, performance, and execution—not simply through larger budgets.
  • Passionate about learning and implementing AI tools to improve creative workflows, visualization, scalability, and production efficiency.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-performance environment with exceptionally high creative standards.

The expected base pay range for this position is $130,000 to $190,000 per year. Actual pay will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
