Head of Supply Chain (m/f/d)
Location: Bonn, Germany (hybrid working)
We are partnering with a fast-growing, international manufacturing organisation to appoint a Head of Supply Chain. This is a high-impact leadership role, critical to driving operational performance, enhancing cross-site alignment, and leading ongoing transformation initiatives across the business.
The Role
Reporting to the Chief Supply Chain & Strategy Officer, you will take ownership of the end-to-end supply chain (excluding procurement) across multiple European and international sites.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full ownership of production planning, inventory management, and logistics operations
- Leading and developing a team of c.30 FTEs across Germany and international locations
- Driving the transition towards a centralised, matrix-led supply chain structure
- Establishing and embedding a Supply Chain Excellence function
- Standardising processes and improving performance across manufacturing sites
- Leading transformation, change management, and digitalisation initiatives
- Acting as a key interface to senior leadership, influencing strategic decision-making
- Delivering improvements across service levels, cost efficiency, and operational KPIs
Candidate Profile
- Proven senior leadership experience within supply chain in a manufacturing environment
- Strong expertise across planning, inventory, and logistics
- Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
- Track record of delivering organisational change and transformation programmes
- Highly analytical, with a process-driven mindset
- Experience with systems implementation and digital supply chain initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with exposure to senior executive teams
- Fluent German and English
