Redstone Commodity Search are working with a leading international steel trading house who are looking for a Head of Stainless Steel to build and lead their stainless trading activities across international markets.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Leverage an existing client base / active book of business within the stainless-steel market to generate immediate trading volume and growth of the market expansion.
- Develop global sourcing channels, expand a European customer base and execute trades across stainless flat and long products from origin to destination.
- Take full responsibility for the region’s P&L, reporting directly to senior executive management.
- Role reports to Head of Trade
Key Qualifications / Experience
- Proven track record in trading stainless flat and/or long products, with a strong understanding of EU markets, trade flows and regulations.
- Established and transferable portfolio of customers and suppliers.
- Self-starter with the ability to build and grow a trading desk, manage complexity and operate in a fast-paced, international environment (including willingness to travel)
