The Role:
India is one of the world's fastest-evolving payment markets and one of Wiseasy's highest-priority expansion territories. With UPI processing 13+ billion transactions monthly and the merchant terminal estate still under-penetrated in Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets, the commercial opportunity is significant — and the window is now.
You will own India's commercial agenda end-to-end: identifying institutional partners, navigating multi-stakeholder procurement cycles, and closing enterprise Cloud + Software + Terminal deployments that displace legacy POS infrastructure.
If you have built your career in global payment hardware or terminal enterprise sales — selling to banks, acquirers, and financial institutions — and are ready to sell an intelligent platform rather than just a device, this role is built for you.
What You Will Own:
• P&L Ownership — Own and deliver the India revenue plan. Accountable for pipeline, conversion, and in-year revenue — not just activity.
• Institutional Sales Leadership — Drive C-suite and Head-of-Payments relationships across acquiring banks (SBI, HDFC, ICICI, Axis, Kotak), payment aggregators (Razorpay, PayU, BillDesk, Cashfree), PSPs, ISVs, and telcos. Navigate IT, Compliance, and Business heads simultaneously.
• Pipeline Creation — Convert industry events (Global Fintech Fest, NPCI forums) into qualified enterprise pipeline. Build targeted GTM campaigns that generate real opportunities, not brand impressions.
• Account Expansion — Scale existing relationships from pilots to national fleet deployments. Cross-sell cloud and software layers on top of hardware footholds.
• Regulatory Intelligence — Track RBI, NPCI, and DPDP Act developments (Bharat QR, UPI-based POS, data localisation) and convert regulatory shifts into commercial advantage before competitors do.
• Cross-Functional Influence — Shape India-specific solution positioning with product and engineering: Hindi-language UI, Bharat QR certification, RBI-compliant data residency. You help build the playbook, not just execute it.
• AI-Enabled Selling — Use AI tools actively for prospect research, pipeline prioritisation, and outreach at scale. Set the standard for what AI-native commercial operations look like in India.
Who You Are:
You have 10+ years of B2B enterprise sales in payments, fintech, POS, payment hardware, SaaS, PSP, or ISV ecosystems — with a verifiable track record of closing enterprise contracts in India, not just building pipeline.
You may have built your career at a global payment terminal manufacturer or hardware-led payment company, developing deep acquiring bank relationships and mastering terminal certification and large-scale fleet deployment cycles. You are here because you want to sell something smarter — a platform, not just a device.
You are fluent in English and Hindi. When a regulatory shift or competitive gap appears, you are already building the opportunity — not waiting for a brief.
