Role Overview
Historically, Ukio has built its success on a powerful B2C vertical. Now, we are getting highly intentional about our B2B business development. We are launching a brand-new B2B division, and we need a highly hands-on Head of Sales & Partnerships to build the engine, establish the strategy, and lead from the front.
This is not a purely strategic, desk-bound role. You will inherit and grow a new team of B2B Account Executives whose primary objective is to aggressively grow our corporate side of the business. In the initial stages, the focus will be heavily weighted toward hunting—building pipeline from scratch and opening new doors. Over time, this will evolve into a hybrid hunting + farming model as we secure and scale these corporate accounts.
You will create process, accountability, and commercial momentum from day one. To succeed, you must love execution: coaching reps, joining client meetings, supporting the team in the field, and personally developing Ukio’s most critical corporate relationships. You should expect to spend 30% to 40% of your time in the field with potential clients, existing partners, and your team.
Responsibilities
Strategic Blueprint & Team Leadership
- Build the B2B Strategy: Design and implement the overarching business development strategy to successfully transition our corporate division from a new initiative into a major revenue engine.
- Manage & Coach AEs: Lead, mentor, and develop a dedicated team of B2B Account Executives, keeping them motivated and aligned with our hunting-first objectives.
- Drive Accountability: Set clear weekly and monthly targets across pipeline generation, outbound activity, account acquisition, and revenue.
- Establish Operating Rhythms: Run structured pipeline reviews, daily/weekly standups, deal coaching sessions, and performance check-ins. Hold the team accountable to both leading activity indicators and closed-won outcomes.
Process, Infrastructure & "Hunting" Design
- Design the Sales Playbook: Build and implement our outreach sequences, cold follow-up cadences, and localized sales operating rhythms from the ground up.
- B2B Infrastructure: Put in place the CRM structure (Salesforce/HubSpot), tracking, reporting, and operating discipline needed to scale a predictable B2B sales team.
- Define the Relationship Motion: Develop a repeatable sales motion suited to a traditional, relationship-led corporate sales cycle where trust and personal presence matter more than SaaS-style onboarding.
Hands-on Execution & Field Leadership
- Lead from the Front: Actively spend 30% to 40% of your time in the field, supporting your AEs in high-stakes pitch meetings, negotiations, and relationship-building events.
- Own the Top Funnel: Maintain your own targeted individual pipeline of high-value strategic accounts alongside your leadership responsibilities.
- Unblock Deals: Step directly into complex sales cycles to unblock obstacles, accelerate timelines, and drive key accounts to closure.
Partnerships & Account Expansion (Farming)
- B2B Ecosystem Development: Build, own, and grow strategic partnerships with corporate clients, relocation agencies, business travel partners, global housing providers, and key real estate players.
- Transition to Farming: As initial "hunts" clear, develop practical frameworks to activate, manage, protect, and grow these corporate accounts, increasing our share of wallet through repeat business.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with internal pricing, supply, and operations teams to ensure our B2B inventory and service levels align with corporate expectations.
About You
- 6 to 10+ years of experience in B2B sales and/or partnerships. Previous experience in hospitality, travel, relocation, corporate housing or real estate is a plus.
- Pipeline Builder: Strong experience in cold outbound sales execution and building high-performing pipelines entirely from scratch (hunting phase).
- Architect of Process: Experience designing outreach cadences, sales playbooks, performance tracking systems, and CRM infrastructure for a growing sales team.
- Relationship-Driven Operator: Deep understanding of traditional, high-touch corporate sales cycles where trust, face-to-face engagement, and long-term account development are key.
- Execution Bias: A hands-on leadership style with a strong willingness to get into the weeds, travel for client face-time, and support AEs directly on the ground.
