This is a rare senior leadership opportunity within a major national retail organisation. As Head of Retail, you will lead a large-scale multi-site operation, driving commercial growth, operational excellence and strategic execution across the business. Working closely with the executive leadership team, you will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the organisation while delivering sustainable performance and building high-performing retail teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a large-scale multi-site retail operation across a national store network
- Drive commercial performance, profitability, and operational excellence across all locations
- Develop and implement long-term retail strategies aligned with overall business objectives
- Lead, mentor, and develop senior retail leadership teams across the organisation
- Deliver best-in-class customer experience and operational standards across the business
- Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and operational improvement
- Drive performance across all key commercial and operational KPIs
- Lead transformational change and continuous improvement initiatives across the retail network
- Partner closely with executive leadership on strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business development
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, leadership, customer excellence, and commercial delivery
- Ensure consistency, governance, and operational alignment across all retail operations
About You:
- Extensive experience operating at senior retail leadership level within a large-scale, multi-site retail environment
- Proven track record of delivering significant commercial growth and operational performance
- Highly strategic and commercially focused with strong executive presence
- Exceptional leadership capability with experience leading large teams through growth and transformation
- Strong understanding of retail operations, customer behaviour, and commercial performance drivers
- Influential communicator capable of operating effectively at executive and board level
- Passionate about people, leadership development, operational excellence, and customer experience
- Experience within grocery, FMCG, convenience, or large-format retail environments highly desirable
