The role…

The Head of Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety (QEHS) is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing QEHS activities within local site. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulations, fostering a culture of safety and quality, and driving environmental sustainability initiatives at the local level.

How you’ll make an impact…

  • Implementation of QEHS Policies: Ensure effective implementation of Weidmann QEHS policies and procedures at the local level. Adapt global strategies to address specific site needs and legal requirements.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with local QEHS regulations, standards, and permits. Keep well-informed of changes in legal requirements and update local practices accordingly.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate QEHS risks specific to the local context. Implement preventive measures to minimize workplace accidents, occupational hazards, and environmental impacts.
  • Lead investigations into QEHS incidents, accidents, and near misses within the local control. Analyze root causes and develop corrective and preventive actions to improve safety and prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and deliver QEHS training programs tailored to the local workforce. Raise awareness of safety, quality, and environmental issues among the organization.
  • Establish local QEHS performance metrics and indicators. Monitor performance against targets, analyze trends, and prepare reports for local and global management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance QEHS performance and culture within the local organization. Encourage employee participation in problem-solving and innovation.
  • Collaborate with local authorities, customers, and other stakeholders to address QEHS concerns and build positive relationships.

What do you bring…

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related disciplines. Master’s degree or professional certifications preferred.
  • Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) in Quality management roles, preferably in a related industry such as manufacturing.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant QEHS regulations, standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14000, ISO 45001), and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to influence and inspire others towards QEHS excellence.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving results and implementing successful QEHS initiatives.
  • Fluency in English and Croatian.
