Role Description: The Head of Projects – CGD will lead end-to-end project management for City Gas Distribution initiatives, overseeing planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of multiple projects across regions. This full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram involves managing project budgets and timelines, coordinating with internal teams, external contractors, and clients to ensure delivery of infrastructure and O&M services in line with technical and safety standards. The role includes establishing project governance frameworks, defining milestones, and implementing risk management and quality control processes. The Head of Projects will provide leadership to project managers and field teams, drive resource planning and allocation, and ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements. The position will also contribute to strategic planning, reporting project performance to senior leadership, and supporting business development with project insights, proposals, and client presentations.
Qualifications
- Strong project and program management capabilities, including project planning, execution oversight, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Experience in City Gas Distribution, oil & gas, utilities, or large infrastructure projects, with a solid understanding of CGD design, construction, and O&M practices.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing cross-functional and field teams, mentoring project managers, and building a performance-oriented culture.
- Proficiency in project management tools, reporting, and documentation, with the ability to track KPIs, budgets, timelines, and resource utilization.
- Knowledge of relevant safety, regulatory, and quality standards for gas distribution and infrastructure projects, and experience implementing compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with clients, vendors, authorities, and internal leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on operational efficiency, cost optimization, and continuous improvement.
