Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Head of Project Finance role based in India. The Head of Project Finance will lead the development, structuring, and execution of project finance and structured finance transactions for clients, working closely with partners, attorneys, and external stakeholders. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing project feasibility, building and reviewing financial models, designing optimal capital structures, and advising on risk allocation and mitigation strategies. The role involves managing deal negotiations, coordinating with lenders and investors, and overseeing due diligence, documentation, and closing processes. The Head of Project Finance will also mentor team members, contribute to business development, and support thought leadership initiatives in project and structured finance for the firm.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance and Project Finance, with experience leading complex project-based transactions.
- Demonstrated expertise in Financial Structuring and Structured Finance, including capital structuring, funding strategies, and risk allocation.
- Advanced Analytical Skills, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and project viability assessments.
- Proven experience working with lenders, investors, and institutional stakeholders on project and structured finance deals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; a relevant postgraduate degree or professional qualification (e.g., MBA, CFA, CA) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of legal, regulatory, and compliance aspects related to project finance transactions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts clearly.
- Experience leading and mentoring teams, with a collaborative and inclusive leadership style.
