The Head of Operations – MCS will be responsible for driving operational excellence, governance, and performance across all MCS activities in France, this role ensures alignment with global MCS strategy and operating model. The accountability of the role includes proactive risk management, in line with Atos risk management processes, across both pre-sales and project execution phases.

The position ensures efficient delivery, compliance with regulatory standards (including defense sector requirements), and optimal resource utilization, supporting sustainable growth and delivery excellence.

Acting as a key link between global MCS governance and local execution, this role delivers strong business impact while maintaining high operational discipline.

Key Accountabilities

  • Operational Leadership & Execution
  • Lead and manage end-to-end MCS operations in France across all SBUs
  • Ensure implementation of global MCS processes, tools, and controls at country level
  • Manage the MCS Operations teams in France, set targets to the team memers and evaluate the performance
  • Drive execution discipline and operational efficiency, focusing on measurable business impact
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and delivery excellence
  • Risk Management in MCS Projects
  • Risk Management identifying projects for neccessary performance improvements, facilitating (contract reviews, bid approvals)
  • Support and optimize MCS P&L performance at country level
  • Drive cost efficiency and ensure alignment between
  • Operational delivery
  • Business strategy and sales objectives
  • Enable profitable growth through operational excellence and delivery reliability
  • Governance, Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure full compliance with
  • Regulatory requirements (especially French defense/public sector environment) on handling of secure information
  • Quality, security, and certification standards
  • Oversee Atos Group and local Eviden (MCS) operational functions such as
  • Security / DPO

  • Facility / site management where required
  • Contribute to governance simplification and effectiveness across MCS
  • Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Alignment
  • Act as key interface between
  • MCS global leadership (COO, SBUs)
  • Central functions (HR, Finance, Legal, IT, Security)
  • Drive synergies with Eviden / Atos entities where relevant
  • Ensure effective coordination across
  • SBUs
  • Delivery centers
  • Corporate functions
  • Workforce & Resource Management
  • Oversee strategic workforce planning and resource allocation
  • Ensure alignment with global workforce management processes (WFM, hiring governance)
  • Balance internal resources, subcontracting, and delivery needs
  • Continuous Improvement & Transformation
  • Identify and drive operational improvements and efficiency initiatives
  • Simplify processes and reduce non-value-added activities (e.g. excessive reporting)
  • Contribute to industrialization and scalability of MCS operations

  • Delivery performance (on-time, on-budget delivery rate)
  • Quality metrics (defect rates, audit results, certification compliance)
  • Process compliance and maturity

Financial Performance

  • Contribution to country-level Gross Margin/Operating Margin (GM/OM)
  • Cost efficiency / cost-to-serve reduction
  • Resource utilization rate

Customer & Business Impact

  • Customer Satisfaction (CSAT)
  • Support to pipeline conversion (via delivery credibility)
  • Retention and expansion of strategic accounts

Workforce & Organization

  • Workforce utilization and capacity planning accuracy
  • Time-to-hire / resource fulfillment performance
  • Employee engagement (if applicable within scope)

Governance & Compliance

  • Audit results (internal and external)
  • Security and compliance adherence
  • Risk mitigation effectiveness

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field

Experience

  • 10–15+ years in operations leadership roles in complex, multi-entity environments
  • Strong background in
  • Project / delivery operations
  • Governance and compliance
  • Financial management (P&L exposure)
  • Experience in defense, critical infrastructure, or regulated industries strongly preferred
