Role Overview:
We are seeking a visionary General Manager to lead Tribe Massai, our flagship boutique living experience in East Pune. The ideal candidate brings a mix of luxury hospitality experience, operational rigor, team leadership, and an obsession for guest satisfaction. This role is both strategic and hands-on, balancing high-level business thinking with on-ground engagement, ensuring Tribe Massai becomes a benchmark for premium co-living in India.
Key Responsibilities:
Property & Operations Leadership
· Serve as the on-site Head of Tribe Massai, owning the entire guest experience and operational execution.
· Manage day-to-day operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Security, Maintenance, and Events.
· Maintain high operational standards through SOP implementation, internal audits, and checklists.
- Resident Experience & Lifestyle Programming
· Be the face of Tribe Massai - personally engaging with residents to build a warm, welcoming, and vibrant community.
· Curate resident engagement programs including events, workshops, and activations that reflect Tribe’s brand DNA.
· Proactively manage resident concerns, feedback, and escalations to deliver WOW moments consistently.
Financial & Commercial Accountability:
· Own the property P&L - drive profitability by balancing revenue growth with operational efficiency.
· Monitor occupancy, yield, cost control, and revenue-per-bed (RevPB) metrics.
· Implement pricing strategies and upsell initiatives in collaboration with sales and revenue management teams.
F&B & Experience-Driven Hospitality:
· Oversee the in-house café/dining experience ensuring it aligns with Tribe’s lifestyle-oriented brand.
· Develop curated F&B programming, events, and café promotions with the marketing team.
· Ensure hygiene, quality control, and guest delight in all F&B services.
People Leadership:
· Lead a dynamic team including Assistant Managers, Department Heads, and Associates.
· Recruit, train, and inspire staff to deliver Tribe’s signature hospitality experience.
· Drive a performance culture through regular coaching, KPIs, and talent development plans.
Facilities & Preventive Maintenance:
· Ensure world-class upkeep and timely maintenance of all physical infrastructure.
· Collaborate with technical teams and vendors for preventive and emergency maintenance.
· Implement energy and resource optimization strategies.
Compliance, Safety & Risk Management:
· Ensure 100% compliance with legal, statutory, safety, and brand standards.
· Conduct periodic fire drills, health audits, and safety training for all teams.
· Manage incident reporting, risk assessments, and emergency response protocols.
Strategy, Insights & Reporting:
· Present detailed weekly/monthly reports to the AVP on KPIs, guest satisfaction, and financial health.
· Utilize data dashboards, guest feedback, and competitor benchmarking to improve performance.
· Co-develop strategies aligned with Tribe’s long-term expansion and brand roadmap.
Ideal Candidate Profile Education:
· Bachelor’s in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related field.
· MBA or post-graduate qualification in Hospitality/Operations is a strong plus.
Experience:
· 8-12 years in upscale hotel, boutique hospitality, or luxury co-living operations.
· Minimum 2 years as a General Manager or equivalent in a flagship/anchor property.
· Prior experience in F&B-heavy operations or lifestyle-driven accommodations preferred.
