About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate nursing professional to lead and support the academic and administrative functions of our Nursing Program. The Head of Nursing Program will play a key role in ensuring academic excellence, maintaining professional standards, supporting students, and contributing to the continued growth and development of the program.

This position is ideal for a qualified Registered Nurse with significant industry experience who is looking to contribute to the next generation of healthcare professionals through education and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide academic leadership and oversight for the Nursing Program.
  • Support curriculum development, review, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant nursing education standards and professional requirements.
  • Coordinate and support nursing lecturers, tutors, and clinical facilitators.
  • Monitor student progress and provide academic guidance where required.
  • Assist with student recruitment, orientation, and retention initiatives.
  • Liaise with healthcare institutions and industry stakeholders to strengthen partnerships and clinical placement opportunities.
  • Manage departmental administrative activities and maintain accurate academic records.
  • Participate in quality assurance, accreditation, and program review processes.
  • Represent the Nursing Department at internal and external meetings and events.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Minimum 5–10 years of professional nursing experience.
  • Strong understanding of contemporary nursing practices and healthcare standards.
  • Previous experience in nursing education, training, mentoring, or academic administration will be highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a part-time leadership role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management, Education, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working within higher education or vocational education environments.
  • Experience with curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
