About the Role

This is one of the most critical roles at Edge.

You will own the top of the talent funnel — the supply engine that ensures the right professionals are available before client demand materializes. This includes defining what “good talent” looks like, forecasting how much talent we need, building and managing sourcing pipelines, and leading the team responsible for execution.

Think of this as demand generation for talent supply — where success is measured by how fast and accurately we can match clients with pre-qualified professionals.

This is a high-ownership, high-accountability leadership role with direct impact on revenue delivery and client success.

What You’ll Own

Talent ICP and Qualification

You define what “great talent” looks like and operationalize it across the organization.

  • Build Talent ICPs for each core role category (medical assistants, dental billing, insurance CSRs, bookkeepers, and more)
  • Analyze data from 1,000+ placed professionals to identify success predictors (experience, certifications, prior employers, tools, industry background)
  • Define sourcing strategies based on data-driven insights — target companies, communities, and channels accordingly
  • Set clear qualification criteria that sourcing teams can execute consistently
  • Continuously refine ICPs based on placement outcomes and client feedback

Demand Forecasting and Supply Planning

You own the supply number — always.

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to translate pipeline into talent demand forecasts
  • Model expected close rates, multi-seat deals, replacement demand (Edge Talent Guarantee), and churn-based re-entry supply
  • Maintain a rolling forecast of talent demand vs. supply across all categories
  • Ensure buffer capacity (including 40%+ contingency) is always built into planning
  • Proactively identify gaps before they impact delivery timelines

Funnel Volume and Pipeline Management

Volume is the foundation of quality.

  • Drive high-volume sourcing pipelines across all role categories
  • Own sourcing channel strategy (active + passive) to consistently meet pipeline targets
  • Build feedback loops with Sales and Account teams to improve quality over time
  • Track and optimize funnel metrics including:
  • Applications
  • Qualified candidates
  • Pipeline coverage ratio
  • Time-to-match
  • Continuously improve sourcing efficiency and conversion rates

Team Leadership and Accountability

You build and lead the engine.

  • Manage and develop the Talent Marketplace and sourcing team
  • Set clear weekly and monthly performance targets aligned with demand forecasts
  • Establish strong accountability systems across the team
  • Coach for outcomes, not activity
  • Remove blockers quickly and ensure execution velocity remains high

What You’ll Need

Must-Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition, workforce operations, marketplace supply, staffing, or similar high-volume hiring environments
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience working on forecasting, pipeline metrics, or CRM/ATS data
  • Proven ability to build and scale high-volume sourcing pipelines
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales and Marketing on demand planning or workforce forecasting
  • Track record of managing, mentoring, or leading teams
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with measurable output

Nice to Have

  • Experience in marketplace businesses or supply-demand matching models
  • Exposure to remote-first or global talent operations
  • Experience in healthcare, dental, insurance, or accounting staffing
  • Familiarity with structured hiring systems, CRM/ATS platforms, and sourcing tools
  • Strong systems-thinking and process design capability
