For over four decades, Himalaya Machinery (Vadodara) has built the plate rolling, bending, straightening, leveling and section bending machines the industry benchmarks against, with 3,000+ installed worldwide. We are looking for a Manufacturing Head who is, above all, a strong leader: someone to take charge of the entire manufacturing floor and the 75+ people across fabrication, machining, hydraulics, assembly and testing, build a disciplined and motivated team, and own the delivery, cost and build quality the Himalaya name stands for.
Equally, we want a builder of systems and ideas: someone who will make the floor faster, leaner and more consistent while respecting what makes a Himalaya machine. You will put solid processes in place, bring fresh thinking on productivity, quality and modernization, and work closely with the management team.
Key Responsibilities
-
Lead, motivate and develop the shop-floor team, and build a strong, accountable manufacturing culture.
-
Plan and drive production to meet delivery commitments across all machine lines.
-
Put systems and processes in place (production planning, quality gates, SOPs, data and ERP) and make them stick on the floor.
-
Continuously improve the operation with new ideas and methods that raise productivity, quality and throughput.
-
Own build quality and pre-dispatch inspection, protecting the standard behind the Himalaya premium.
-
Control manufacturing cost, capacity and material use, and lead on safety and statutory compliance.
-
Champion modernization, including the move toward selective CNC and automation.
Who We Are Looking For
- Thinks, behaves and acts like a leader: highly motivated, takes full ownership, sets high standards and brings the team with them.
- Hungry to learn and open to new methods, technology and ways of working.
- A systems builder who has brought structure and process to a shop floor, and is full of ideas to make manufacturing better.
- Around 10 years in manufacturing, including 3 to 5 years leading a production or plant function. Heavy fabrication, machining or machine-building experience is a strong plus.
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering, with a quality-first mindset and genuine ownership of the finished machine.
