Head of IT | High-Growth Energy Scale-Up | Ireland & UK

A rapidly growing, well-funded company in the energy sector is looking for a Head of IT to lead its technology function through an exciting phase of expansion across Ireland and the UK.

This is a newly created leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape the technology strategy, build and develop a high-performing team, and play a key role in the company's growth journey. There is also a clear pathway toward a future CTO-level position.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the IT strategy across Ireland and the UK

• Lead digital transformation initiatives and technology innovation

• Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing IT team

• Oversee IT operations, ensuring reliability, scalability, and service excellence

• Partner with commercial, product, and operations teams to support business growth

• Drive business continuity, disaster recovery, and compliance initiatives

• Deliver strategic IT projects using agile or hybrid methodologies

• Lead change management across systems and processes

What We're Looking For

• 7–10+ years of IT leadership experience, ideally within high-growth or scale-up environments

• Proven track record of defining and delivering IT strategy

• Experience managing distributed teams across multiple locations

• Strong knowledge of enterprise systems, cloud infrastructure, and SaaS platforms

• Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Active Directory, and Power Platform

• Experience supporting CRM, ERP, e-commerce, and field service operations

• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
