Role Description The Head of Human Resources will lead the HR function for Beauty Garage Ltd and act as a strategic partner to senior leadership. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and frameworks that support business growth and a positive workplace culture. The role involves overseeing end-to-end talent management, including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning. The Head of HR will manage employee relations, drive engagement and retention initiatives, and ensure compliance with labor and employment laws. Day-to-day activities include advising leaders on people matters, managing HR operations and HRIS data integrity, designing compensation and benefits structures, and coordinating learning and development programs. The role also includes leading organizational change initiatives, mentoring the HR team, and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization.
Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, with experience leading HR functions or teams.
  • Proficiency in HR Policies and Labor and Employment Law, with a track record of ensuring legal compliance and maintaining up-to-date policy frameworks.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Employee Relations, including handling employee concerns, conflict resolution, and fostering a respectful, inclusive workplace.
  • Experience in talent acquisition, performance management, and learning and development, preferably in consumer, retail, or beauty-related industries.
  • Proven ability to design and implement HR strategies that support business objectives and organizational culture.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including experience with HR metrics, reporting, and HRIS tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) is an advantage.
