Scope: Ownership and leadership of the company’s HR technology landscape

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 20+ years of experience in HR Technology, HRIS, Digital HR, or HR Transformation roles.
  • Minimum 7+ years of leadership experience managing HR Technology teams and enterprise-scale HR platforms.
  • Strong experience with leading HCM platforms such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, UKG, or similar enterprise solutions.
  • Experience managing Talent Acquisition, ATS, Skills Management, Learning, and Workforce Analytics platforms.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale HR digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise integrations, cloud platforms, data architecture, security, and IT governance.
  • Experience working in complex, global, matrixed organizations.

Preferred Industry Experience

  • Experience within large IT Services, Technology, GCC, Consulting, or Global Enterprise organizations.
  • Must have managed HR Technology environments supporting 10,000–15,000+ employees across multiple locations and business units.
  • Exposure to global HR operations and multinational workforce environments will be highly preferred.

Role Purpose

The Head of HR Technology is responsible for ensuring a modern, efficient and future-oriented HR technology ecosystem. The role acts as a key bridge between HR, IT and the business, supporting HR processes, business strategy and employee experience through effective use of digital tools and data.

Key Responsibilities

1. Ownership of the HR Technology Landscape

  • End-to-end responsibility for all HR systems and tools (currently including Workday, SmartRecruiters, FlowCase, RefApp, and related solutions)
  • Define and execute the HR Tech strategy aligned with IT strategy, HR Strategy, and overall business objectives
  • Ensure scalability, standardization and reliability across HR platforms
  • Continuously monitor market trends and emerging technologies (incl. AI, analytics, automation)

2. Development and Optimization

  • Drive continuous improvement of HR processes through technology, in collaboration with Business HR teams
  • Lead and prioritise system enhancements, upgrades and transformation initiatives
  • Ensure strong system configuration, integration and performance in close collaboration with IT architecture and security teams
  • Enable data-driven HR through reporting, insights and advanced analytics

3. Vendor and Stakeholder Management

  • Own vendor relationships for HR technology platforms
  • Manage contracts, costs, delivery quality and SLAs
  • Coordinate implementations, releases and system upgrades with vendors and internal IT teams
  • Act as a key technology partner to HR leadership

4. People Leadership

  • Lead and develop the HR Tech team (currently 10 team members)
  • Set clear priorities, responsibilities, and delivery expectations
  • Build strong capabilities within HR systems, data management and user adoption

5. User Support and Change Management

  • Overall responsibility for HR system support across the organization
  • Ensure high user satisfaction and a scalable, efficient support model
  • Drive training, communication and adoption of new tools and functionalities
  • Support change management initiatives related to HR and people systems

6. Governance, Security and Compliance

  • Ensure HR systems comply with GDPR, security standards and internal IT governance
  • Own roles, access management and data quality standards
  • Contribute to strong HR data governance in close cooperation with CIO organization

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Solid experience with HR technology in large or complex organizations
  • Strong knowledge of HCM platforms, Workday or others, as well as recruitment/ATS and skills management platforms, from business value perspective. 
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to build high-performing teams
  • Strong understanding of IT governance, integrations and security in enterprise environments
  • Experience with change management and digital transformation initiatives
