The ROLE:

Milk Makeup is seeking a strategic, data-driven, and commercially minded Head of Global Merchandising. This leader will bridge the gap between brand storytelling, product development, and global retail reality. You will own the global architecture of our retail presence across major environments (Sephora, Ulta, Boots, Space NK), optimizing space productivity, SKU efficiency, and the shopper’s physical journey. You are the ultimate architect of what products sit on which shelves globally, ensuring our gondolas maximize sales per linear foot and deliver a cohesive brand experience.

What YOU’ll do:

  • Global Assortment Architecture: Define the ideal product portfolio and SKU assortment by retailer and geography. Lead SKU rationalization and expansion strategies to maximize retail productivity.
  • Commercial Strategy & Retailer Analytics: Partner with Regional GMs to analyze retail data, monitoring sales per SKU, velocity, and linear-foot productivity to optimize the global fleet.
  • Merchandising Logic & Shopper Journey: Define the macro-navigation hierarchy of the Milk Makeup gondola. Establish consumer-flow logic, product adjacencies, cross-sell strategies, and 3-second educational frameworks on-shelf.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the strategic link between Product Development (NPD), Supply Chain/Demand Planning, and Creative Visual Merchandising (VM) to transition assortments smoothly from concept to shelf.
  • Competitive Benchmarking: Continually audit the global beauty landscape to identify best-in-class spatial productivity, navigation, and retail disruption.

We’d like YOU to have:

  • 10–15+ years of experience in Beauty Merchandising, Buying, or Global Retail Strategy (prestige beauty experience within Sephora/Ulta environments is highly preferred)
  • Strong analytical horsepower—proven track record of managing complex multi-market assortments, P&L inputs, and demand planning constraints
  • A rare blend of commercial acumen and visual spatial awareness; you understand how data translates to a physical 3D shelf.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills to influence Regional GMs and retail partners.
