Head of Finance

Pleased to work on behalf of a specialist growing healthcare consulting firm who seek to hire a Head of Finance.

This role will manage the finance function across multiple entities and countries, combining strategic financial leadership with strong hands-on operational involvement. The role ensures the integrity, quality, and scalability of financial information, while supporting executive decision-making and operational performance across the organization.

This position works closely with the CEO and senior leadership to support business growth, cash performance, and financial discipline. The role is expected to evolve toward full Group CFO responsibilities as the organization grows.

The role:

Finance Management:

• Manage and implement the Financial Management System (SAP B1).
• Lead and optimize financial operations across all entities and regions.
• Act as a strategic business partner to senior leadership across all functions.
• Lead financial planning, forecasting, and growth initiatives.
• Provide direct leadership and oversight of Accounts Receivable teams, Accounts Payable teams, and outsourced finance partners.
• Ensure strong cash-cycle management, controls, and service delivery standards.

Management Accounts:

• Ensure timely and accurate monthly management accounts across multiple entities and countries.
• Maintain consolidation accuracy and compliance with group standards.
• Ensure strong financial controls, procedures, and audit readiness.
• Oversee annual audits and reporting processes.
• Ensure compliance across all operating countries.

Cash Management:

• Manage cash flow, treasury, FX exposure, and working capital.
• Provide cost analysis and maintain cost discipline across operations.

Budget Management

• Lead budgeting process across entities and departments.
• Work closely with budget holders to develop and finalize budgets.
• Ensure ongoing budget monitoring and reporting.

Reporting to CEO & Board

• Provide monthly financial reporting and insights to the CEO and senior leadership and as required.
• Present quarterly financial reporting and insights to the board of Directors
• Translate financial data into actionable recommendations.

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead finance teams and outsourced partners in a hands-on manner.
• Develop team capability and ensure high performance.
• Work with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams

Relationships

• Reports directly to the CEO and works closely with senior leadership.
• Direct reports include finance teams and outsourced partners.

Your profile:

• ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified
• Extensive hands-on experience with SAP Business One (SAP B1) is required;
• 8+ years of progressive experience in finance, including management roles in multi-entity or international environments
• Experience in SME or growing organizations with hands-on operational responsibility is strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end finance operations, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and cash flow management
