Job opportunity for Head of Finance (Corporate+ Plant)- Engineering business- Bangalore
ROLE PURPOSE
To lead the end-to-end Finance and Accounting function of the Auto Component Business across plant and corporate operations. As a vital member of the Senior Management Team, the role brings a sophisticated financial perspective to strategic and operational decisions, institutionalizes robust planning and control frameworks, optimizes working capital, handles procurement strategy, and mitigates enterprise risk to drive profitable business expansion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Strategic Direction & Decisions: Participate actively in all strategic decision-making committees; formulate long-term business plans, budgets, and forecasts aligned with overall corporate goals.
● Financial Control & Profitability: Direct strict cost-of-production controls vis-à-vis business and rolling plans; identify and highlight major cost variances weekly/monthly; implement product- and market-wise margin matrix to drive revenue corrections.
● Working Capital Optimization: Lead intensive regular reviews of aged inventories, overdue receivables, and slow-moving stock across plants and overseas warehouses; oversee physical stock reconciliation.
● Treasury, Funding & Tax: Institutionalize robust cash and fund management systems; minimize funding costs/cost of capital; steer corporate tax planning to optimize direct and indirect tax exposure.
● Governance & Audit Management: Establish best practices for governance, statutory reporting, and audit assurance; ensure 100% adherence to IND-AS, RBI policies, and corporate internal controls.
● Procurement & Supply Chain Oversight: Head the strategic planning and operational decisions for the procurement function; collaborate with suppliers to minimize lead times, rejections, and MOQ parameters.
● Digital Transformation & Team Building: Optimize SAP usage and champion process automation across all transactional activities to boost organizational productivity; nurture and scale a high-performing financial team.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
● CA with 15–20 years, OR MBA Finance with 20–25 years of post-qualification experience in leading Manufacturing/Engineering organizations.
● Minimum 7–10 years of current track record as the Head of Department (HOD) / CFO overseeing multi-plant operations. ● Proven leadership tenure within a Listed Company environment.
● Extensive experience working with advanced business applications like SAP or Oracle Financials. ● Prior experience managing the Commercial / Procurement function alongside core finance is highly advantageous.
