Purpose of the Job As Head of Finance, you will lead a skilled team and play an important role in strengthening financial governance, driving continuous improvement, and supporting strategic decision-making across the Bank. You will work closely with the CFO and senior stakeholders throughout the organisation. This role reports to Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Responsibilities of the Job - Lead, coach, and develop the Finance team across multiple locations.
- Own and oversee accounting, consolidation, financial reporting, and related governance processes.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial and regulatory reporting in accordance with IFRS and applicable regulations.
- Maintain effective accounting policies, controls, and reporting frameworks.
- Oversee corporate tax, VAT, and transfer pricing matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Act as the primary contact for external auditors and coordinate audit activities.
- Drive improvements in finance processes, systems, controls, and data quality.
- Contribute to strategic projects and actively support the CFO Organisation's objectives.
- Chair the Capitalization Forum and participate in relevant governance and risk forums
Education Level Bachelor's Degree
Experience/Demonstrated Competencies We are looking for an experienced finance leader to head our Accounting, Financial Reporting, Consolidation, and Tax functions across the Bank. This is a key leadership role within the CFO Organisation, responsible for ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and high-quality financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions
You are a collaborative and business-oriented finance professional with strong leadership skills and solid experience in accounting and financial reporting within banking or financial services. You combine technical expertise with the ability to build relationships, drive change, and develop teams.
Language Competencies Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Knowledge required - University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Significant experience in accounting, financial reporting, or finance leadership roles within banking, financial services, or another regulated environment.
- Experience managing accounting, consolidation, and reporting processes.
- Exposure to tax matters, including corporate tax and VAT, is advantageous.
- Previous people leadership experience, preferably within an international environment.
Capabilities for this job - Good understanding of IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting and governance within regulated businesses.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Experience driving process improvements and strengthening internal controls.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Structured, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- High level of integrity and sound professional judgement.
- Knowledge of a Scandinavian language is considered an advantage.
