Palvi Industries Limited is a leading manufacturer of Molybdenum Chemicals, committed to operational excellence and sustainable growth. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced finance leader to head our Finance, Accounts, and Commercial functions.
Role Overview:
The Head – Finance & Accounts will be responsible for leading the finance, accounts, commercial, and supply chain functions of the organization. This is a senior leadership role requiring a strategic mindset, strong commercial acumen, and deep expertise in financial management within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee finance, accounts, commercial, and supply chain functions; set financial objectives and implement policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Formulate and execute business and financial strategies to maximize profitability and achieve organizational goals.
- Oversee preparation and review of annual and periodic financial statements for management.
- Play a key role in Private Equity fundraising by preparing accurate financial data, projections, MIS, and investor presentations.
- Lead commercial operations covering procurement planning, vendor development, rate negotiations, contract finalization, and pricing.
- Manage end-to-end supply chain operations including inventory planning, coordination with production and logistics teams, and ensuring uninterrupted availability of raw materials.
- Develop and monitor MIS and management reports to track key business indicators and support strategic decision-making.
- Manage day-to-day cash flow, working capital requirements, and fund utilization across operations.
- Liaise and negotiate with banks to raise finance at favorable terms under multiple banking arrangements.
- Coordinate with credit rating agencies (CARE, CRISIL) for rating of banking facilities in compliance with RBI Basel norms.
- Oversee foreign currency exposure and hedging strategies to mitigate exchange risk and optimize finance costs.
- Plan and implement robust internal control frameworks across multiple manufacturing plants.
- Monitor operational expenditure and lead financial planning initiatives to improve cost control and profitability.
- Coordinate with systems/IT teams for SAP and process enhancements.
- Act as key liaison with Statutory Auditors, Internal Auditors, Cost Auditors, IFC Auditors, Transfer Pricing Auditors, and tax authorities for audits, assessments, and regulatory matters.
- Ensure end-to-end ROC compliances including AOC-4, MGT-7, MGT-14, PAS-3, DIR-3 KYC, and MCA portal filings.
- Manage receivables and payables to ensure adequate cash flow for organizational requirements.
- Assist the Managing Director in developing new projects and achieving the organization's strategic mission.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) — mandatory
- Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience in manufacturing industries
- Strong knowledge of banking operations, fundraising, and working capital management
- Experience with CARE/CRISIL ratings and RBI Basel norms
- Proficiency in SAP and MIS reporting
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Compensation:
Negotiable as per experience.
