Role Purpose
The Head of Consolidation plays a central role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of BA Glass Group’s financial information. The role is responsible for group consolidation, monthly and annual closing processes, internal control coordination, and high‑quality financial reporting to management, the Board of Directors, and external stakeholders (auditors, banks, regulators).
This position acts as the process owner for consolidation and group finance procedures, ensuring harmonization across all countries, strong governance, and continuous improvement of finance processes and systems (SAP / BPC).
Key Responsibilities
1. Group Consolidation & Reporting
- Lead the monthly group consolidation process using SAP BPC, including scope definition, exchange rates, consolidation adjustments, and eliminations in consolidation perimeters.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of group P&L, balance sheet, equity movements, and intercompany eliminations.
- Perform and oversee BPC controls (intercompany, other sales, equity movement, P&L reconciliation), ensuring deviations are analyzed and properly explained.
- Prepare and review key group financial reports, including.
2. Monthly Closing Coordination
- Own and centrally monitor the monthly financial closing calendar, ensuring deadlines are met by all local finance teams.
- Ensure that the Financial Checklist is correctly performed and documented by all entities.
- Review and/or coordinate key monthly postings and adjustments, including: Hedging adjustments; Transfer margin and management fees postings; CO₂ adjustments; Returnable packaging reviews; Insurance‑related postings; Expat and HR‑related finance files.
- Ensure alignment between accounting entries and underlying financial flows.
3. Master Data & Reporting Structures Governance
- Act as process owner for finance master data, ensuring harmonization and consistency across the group.
- Oversee:
- Creation and maintenance of G/L accounts (FS00 / FSPO)
- Reporting hierarchies and structures (F.01, ZCCL, ZCMCL, KDH2, OB58)
- OBA1 maintenance for FX gain/loss determination
- Ensure that master data changes are properly documented, controlled, and communicated to local teams.
- Drive reduction of reclassification and audit adjustments through improved master data quality.
4. Annual Closing & Financial Statements
- Coordinate the annual closing process for all group entities.
- Communicate key dates, guidelines, and instructions to local finance teams.
- Monitor closing progress across countries and proactively resolve issues.
- Coordinate and support the approval of statutory financial statements for all entities.
- Prepare and review:
- Consolidated Financial Statements of BA Group
- Standalone financial statements (BA Glass BV and Glasstank)
- Act as the main finance counterpart for external auditors during annual audits.
5. ESG & Additional Analytical Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and coordination of sustainability / ESG reporting, in close collaboration with other corporate functions.
- Perform competitor financial analysis on a quarterly basis, providing insights to management on market and peer performance.
6. Process Improvement & Digitalization
- Continuously identify opportunities to standardize, automate, and improve consolidation and reporting processes.
- Actively contribute to SAP / BPC enhancements, including:
- Automation of checklists and controls
- Reduction of manual adjustments
- Improvement of reporting quality and timeliness
- Promote best practices and knowledge sharing across the finance community.
Required Profile & Skills
Technical Skills
· Strong expertise in group consolidation, financial reporting, and closing processes
· Solid knowledge of IFRS and local statutory requirements
· Advanced knowledge of SAP (FI/CO) and SAP BPC
· Strong understanding of internal controls and governance frameworks
Professional Skills
· High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
· Ability to manage complex processes across multiple countries
· Strong communication skills, capable of interacting with senior management and auditors

Experience
· Several years of experience in group finance, consolidation, or audit, preferably in an international industrial group
· Experience managing or coordinating multi‑country finance processes
