Why we need you: The Head of Business Development and Marketing is responsible for leading and managing MCTC’s business development and marketing functions, ensuring the effective execution of the company’s commercial strategy. The role focuses on driving revenue growth through team leadership, pipeline management, and market execution, while ensuring marketing initiatives support business development objectives. The position acts as the key link between the CCO’s strategic direction and the operational delivery of growth across markets.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Lead, manage, and develop the Business Development team across regions
- Set clear targets, KPIs, and performance expectations for all team members
- Monitor pipeline activity, conversion rates, and overall team performance
- Provide coaching, guidance, and support to ensure delivery of revenue targets
- Execute the commercial strategy defined by the CCO across all markets
- Ensure effective pipeline management from lead generation to contract closure
- Oversee preparation of proposals, tenders, and commercial documentation
- Support negotiations and closing of key strategic deals
- Oversee acquisition of new clients and expansion of existing accounts
- Ensure strong relationship management across key clients
- Support BD team in high-value or strategic client interactions
- Ensure alignment between client expectations and service delivery
- Oversee marketing activities to ensure alignment with business development goals
- Ensure campaigns directly support lead generation and pipeline growth
- Oversee market research and industry analysis to identify growth opportunities
- Monitor market trends, competition, and client needs
- Provide insights and recommendations, as well as ensure structured reporting to the CCO
- Own and monitor the full business development pipeline
- Track performance metrics including lead generation, conversion rates, revenue contribution
- Support expansion in new regions and markets
- Undertake any additional responsibilities as may reasonably be assigned, in line with the scope of the role.
You need these qualifications:
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, Sales or related field
- Proven experience in a similar role, managing BD / sales teams
- Strong track record in delivering revenue growth
- Experience in international markets
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent commercial and negotiation skills
- Strong pipeline and performance management capability
- Strategic thinking with strong execution focus
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Willingness to travel
It would be nice if:
- You have previous experience in maritime, and/or catering services sector.
- Experience working with multinational or cross-cultural teams.
- Previous exposure to international events, conferences, or high-level networking environments.
