Mission of the Role

To ensure accurate, timely and reliable financial information while leading the accounting function of the Polleo Sport Group as a key partner in supporting the company's continued growth.

Location: Samoborska cesta 134, Zagreb, Croatia

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop an accounting team of 8 employees
• Organise and oversee accounting processes across the entire Group
• Manage general ledger accounting and reconciliations with supporting and subsidiary records
• Oversee inventory accounting and ensure alignment with financial accounting
• Review VAT calculations and other tax obligations
• Review and adjust accounting entries in preparation for annual financial statements
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
• Cooperate with auditors, tax authorities, banks and other financial institutions
• Drive continuous improvement of accounting and financial processes
• Coordinate external accounting partners across the Group

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who understands both accounting and business.

This is not a traditional accounting position. We are seeking a leader who can manage a team, understands manufacturing processes and can serve as a trusted partner to management in making business decisions.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in at least two of the following industries:

• Manufacturing
• Retail
• Wholesale and Distribution
• E-commerce

What We Expect

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience leading an accounting team
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting and production costing
• Advanced knowledge of accounting and tax regulations
• Strong analytical and organisational skills with a high level of accountability
• A proactive mindset and a desire to continuously improve processes
