🎯 The Role
We are seeking an experienced hands-on senior engineering leader who can combine deep systems thinking with strong execution capability. You will define the technical foundation, lead engineering efforts, and help build a high-impact, globally distributed team.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Technical Strategy & Architecture
- Define and drive the long-term architecture across AI systems, infrastructure, and developer platforms
- Balance rapid product iteration with scalable, sustainable system design
- Lead decisions across distributed systems, model integration, and data pipelines
- Ensure performance, reliability, and extensibility of core systems
Engineering Leadership
- Translate product vision into clear and actionable technical roadmaps
- Establish strong engineering processes, standards, and culture
- Maintain a high bar for execution while enabling fast delivery
- Guide and mentor engineering teams to achieve excellence
Team Building & Scaling
- Build and scale a high-performing, globally distributed engineering organisation
- Recruit and develop top-tier technical leaders and talent
- Define hiring frameworks and maintain rigorous selection standards
Cross-Functional Execution
- Collaborate closely with product, research, and executive stakeholders
- Align distributed teams and ensure seamless execution across regions
- Resolve complex technical and operational challenges
✅ Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong background in system architecture, distributed systems, and large-scale platforms
- Minimum 12-15 years of working experience as a senior engineering leader in the tech industry
- Proven experience leading and scaling high-performing engineering teams
- Demonstrated ability to make sound technical trade-offs in complex environments
- Comfortable operating in early-stage or high-ambiguity settings
- Clear communicator with the ability to align diverse stakeholders
- Passion for building products, teams, and engineering organisations from the ground up
- Designed and shipped Applied/Agentic AI platforms into large-scale production
