Bango Cabs is a technology-driven mobility platform focused on transforming outstation travel through innovation, reliability, and customer-centric experiences. We are building a scalable transportation ecosystem powered by modern cloud infrastructure, intelligent dispatch systems, AI-driven optimization, and data-driven decision making.

As we enter our next phase of growth, we are seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology vision, product engineering, and innovation strategy.

Role Overview

The CTO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for defining and executing Bango Cabs' technology roadmap. You will lead engineering, architecture, infrastructure, security, data, and AI initiatives while building a high-performing technology organization capable of scaling nationally and globally.

This role requires a combination of strategic leadership, startup execution experience, technical depth, and business acumen.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Strategy & Leadership

• Define and execute the company's long-term technology vision and roadmap

• Align technology initiatives with business growth objectives

• Drive innovation across mobility, AI, cloud, automation, and data platforms

• Serve as a trusted technology advisor to the CEO, Board, and leadership team

Engineering Leadership

• Build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams

• Establish engineering culture, development standards, and best practices

• Lead architecture decisions for highly scalable and resilient platforms

• Oversee software development, infrastructure, DevOps, security, and quality assurance

Product & Platform Development

• Build scalable ride-booking, dispatch, pricing, payment, and analytics systems

• Drive adoption of AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics where appropriate

• Ensure platform reliability, performance, and availability

Infrastructure & Security

• Design and oversee cloud-native infrastructure and microservices architecture

• Establish cybersecurity, compliance, and governance frameworks

• Implement disaster recovery, monitoring, and business continuity strategies

• Manage technology risks and operational resilience

Business & Growth

• Participate in fundraising, investor discussions, and technology due diligence

• Evaluate emerging technologies and strategic partnerships

• Optimize technology investments and engineering productivity

• Support expansion into new markets and business verticals

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• 15+ years of experience in software engineering and technology leadership

• Minimum 5 years of experience as CTO, VP Engineering, Head of Engineering, or equivalent executive role

• Proven experience scaling technology organizations from startup to growth stage

• Strong expertise in distributed systems, cloud platforms, and software architecture

• Strong understanding of backend systems, APIs, databases, DevOps, and cybersecurity

• Demonstrated success in building and leading engineering teams of 20+ members

• Experience managing technology budgets and vendor relationships

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Mobility, Ride-Hailing, Logistics, Travel-Tech, Marketplace, SaaS, or E-commerce platforms

• Experience building AI/ML-powered products and data platforms

• Startup founder or early-stage startup leadership experience

• Experience handling rapid scale, high transaction volumes, and operational complexity

• Strong understanding of product management and business strategy
