Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Co-founder & CTO, who will be a strategic partner in shaping the company’s long-term vision and technology direction. The ideal candidate is a Full Stack Developer, primarily strong in backend development, with hands-on experience in Frontend and Mobile app development. The Co-founder & CTO will oversee the entire technology roadmap — from building the MVP to developing a fully scalable product and deployment, managing everything from architecture to execution (0–1) to ensure that OrderEye’s AI-powered SaaS platform remains cutting-edge, stable, and aligned with business growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-ambiguity startup environments, is ready to get hands-on, and is eager to own and drive the complete technology growth engine.

Note Before Applying:

This is Full-time remote role based on upto 10% equity and not on salary.
The product is already 80% developed using a monolithic architecture built on Java, with the following tech stack listed below.
This is a Full-time individual contributor (IC) role — not a team management position. We currently don’t have a tech team, as we’re still in the early stages of growth.
Candidates with a strong AI/ML background combined with product management experience will be preferred.
The ideal candidate is a Full Stack Developer, primarily strong in backend development (Java), with hands-on experience in Frontend and Mobile App development.
Requires hands-on expertise in Java, MySQL-based architectures, React, TypeScript, Next.js with a solid understanding of 0–1 SaaS product execution.
Candidates with experience exclusively in service-based companies are not eligible to apply.
Experience working with SaaS, Quick Commerce, FoodTech, or E-commerce businesses is a strong plus.
We’re seeking someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, a hustle-first attitude, and hands-on startup experience — if you’re looking for a typical managerial desk role, this won’t be the right fit.
This is not your usual “manager” position — it’s a builder’s role for someone who is passionate, hungry to build from scratch (0–1), customer-obsessed, and capable of taking SaaS products from concept to traction and then scaling rapidly.
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from IITs or other top-tier institutions will be preferred.

What You'll Do:

1 Technology Vision & Product Ownership

Define and own the technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with the company’s short-term and long-term vision.
Translate business and customer requirements into clear technical architecture and actionable plans.
Oversee product lifecycle — from MVP to large-scale deployments, ensuring scalability and performance.
Lead research and adoption of emerging AI technologies that can enhance OrderEye’s product capabilities.
Conduct continuous market research, competitor analysis, and gap identification to guide innovation and maintain product competitiveness.

2. Engineering Leadership

Build and lead a high-performing engineering team as the company scales; foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and accountability.
Establish and enforce best practices for software design, coding standards, testing, version control, and DevOps processes.
Ensure timely delivery of products and features in line with defined timelines, quality benchmarks, and business objectives.
Maintain robust system architecture with a focus on security, scalability, reliability, and long-term maintainability.

3. Infrastructure & Deployment

Oversee infrastructure architecture and deployment pipelines on AWS.
Ensure continuous monitoring, reliability, and system uptime using tools like AWS CloudWatch and GreyLog.
Implement robust CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes for efficiency and consistency.

4. Data, Analytics & Performance

Lead integration of internal analytics tools for performance tracking, customer behavior, and business intelligence.
Build and optimize data models for product analytics, reporting, and decision-making.
Ensure efficient database design and management (MySQL) for performance and reliability.

5. Collaboration & Strategy

Work closely with the founders and leadership team to align tech priorities with business growth strategies.
Collaborate closely with design, marketing, and operations teams to ensure technology initiatives are aligned with overall business objectives and customer needs.
Present technical insights, timelines, and product progress in board and investor meetings.
Identify and resolve strategic challenges — from scaling systems to optimizing costs.
Forge strategic partnerships with vendors, technology providers, and relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer, primarily strong in backend development, with hands-on experience in frontend and mobile app development.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership or CTO-level role, overseeing technology strategy, architecture, and execution.
Strong AI/ML background combined with product management experience will be preferred.
Strong command and hands-on experience over Java, React, TypeScript, and MySQL-based architectures.
Strong track record of building, scaling and deployment of SaaS product from scratch from 0-1.
Proven experience with AWS infrastructure, CI/CD automation, and application monitoring tools.
Demonstrated success in scaling SaaS platforms or Quick Commerce / E-commerce systems.
Deep understanding of quick commerce, food tech or e-commerce industries (preferred).
Excellent communication, team-building, and stakeholder management skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a “hustle-first, excuses-never” approach – thrives in ambiguous, fast-paced startup environments with a passion for building impactful tech products.
