About The Role

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join an AI Centre of Excellence (AI CoE) and contribute to the development of an enterprise-grade AI-powered knowledge search platform.

You will work on a RAG-based (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) solution designed to serve thousands of internal users, enabling intelligent, bilingual knowledge discovery across the organization.

This is a hands-on role where you will help transform a high-level AI architecture into a production-ready, scalable, and maintainable system.

Key Responsibilities

AI & RAG Development

• Design and implement end-to-end RAG pipelines (retrieval, reranking, LLM orchestration, citations)
• Develop prompt templates and guardrails to ensure safe and accurate outputs
• Work with Large Language Models (LLMs) to deliver high-quality AI responses

Data Ingestion & Processing

• Build ingestion pipelines integrating CMS and document platforms (e.g., SharePoint)
• Implement data chunking, embedding, and indexing strategies
• Ensure proper access control (ACL propagation) and security trimming

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Deploy and manage AI services on Microsoft Azure (Azure OpenAI, API Management, AI Content Safety)
• Work with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for containerized workloads
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and Helm
• Use Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD

Evaluation & Optimization

• Build evaluation frameworks to measure AI performance and relevance
• Monitor and optimize system performance during early production phases
• Continuously improve model outputs and system efficiency

Tech Environment

• Azure Services: Azure OpenAI, Azure API Management, Azure AI Content Safety
• Infrastructure: AKS (Kubernetes), Terraform, Helm
• Data & AI: Vector databases, RAG pipelines, LLMs
• Languages: Python
• DevOps: Azure DevOps

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with Python and AI/ML development
• Hands-on experience with RAG architectures and LLM integration
• Experience with Azure cloud services and AI platforms
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes (AKS) and containerized applications
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Familiarity with vector databases and semantic search
• Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)

Languages

• French or Dutch – Native / Bilingual proficiency
• English – Full professional proficiency
