Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Applied AI Engineer, located in Navi Mumbai, India.
As an Applied AI Engineer at PingAura, you will help us ship production AI systems by combining strong full-stack engineering with AI-assisted development workflows, LLM evals, observability, and reliability.
This role is designed for engineers with 2+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience who have already shipped production software and now want to work deeply with AI coding agents, LLM workflows, evals, and production systems.
You will dispatch and supervise AI-assisted development workflows using tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex, review agent-generated pull requests, design evaluations, improve internal tooling, and ship production features across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, background jobs, observability, and deployment workflows.
You will work closely with the founding team, join customer conversations, and turn real product feedback into shipped features, tests, evals, and reliability improvements.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript experience
- Experience with React, Next.js, or similar frontend frameworks
- Ability to design, build, debug, and maintain backend APIs and database-backed systems
- Experience shipping production features independently
- Hands-on experience across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, background jobs, observability, and deployment workflows
- Serious usage of AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar tools in your development workflow
- Comfortable reviewing AI-generated code instead of blindly accepting it
- Ability to quickly review a pull request, identify risks, and explain what needs to change
- Strong debugging, product thinking, and ownership mindset
- Interest in LLM evals, observability, and production reliability
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Supabase, or similar infrastructure is a plus
- Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Langfuse, Braintrust, RAGAS, DeepEval, or similar tools is a plus
- Experience with tool calling, structured outputs, streaming, or long-horizon LLM workflows is a plus
- Exposure to GCP or AWS in production is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is useful, but strong production engineering experience matters more
