We are seeking a seasoned procurement leader to drive strategic sourcing, contract management, and cost optimization initiatives across our hospitality and project portfolio.

Role Overview

The Head – Procurement & Contracts will lead end-to-end procurement, sourcing, commercial negotiations, vendor management, and contract administration for hospitality projects and operations. The role demands extensive experience in hotel pre-openings, project procurement, and operational procurement within luxury hospitality environments.

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring procurement excellence across construction, fit-outs, pre-opening activities, renovations, and ongoing hotel operations while maintaining cost efficiency, quality standards, compliance, and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Procurement & Sourcing

  • Develop and implement centralized procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, vendor consolidation, and cost optimization programs.
  • Drive domestic and international sourcing for FF&E, OS&E, construction materials, equipment, and services.
  • Identify procurement opportunities across new developments, projects, and operational units.
  • Establish category management and procurement best practices across the organization.

Contracts & Commercial Management

  • Lead end-to-end contract lifecycle management, including drafting, negotiation, execution, administration, and closure.
  • Negotiate high-value commercial agreements with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Ensure commercial viability, contractual compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Oversee tendering processes including RFI, RFP, RFQ, and bid evaluations.
  • Develop contract governance frameworks and procurement controls.

Project Procurement (Pre-Opening & Development)

  • Manage procurement activities for civil works, MEP systems, interiors, landscaping, and hospitality fit-outs.
  • Coordinate with design, project, and execution teams to ensure timely procurement support.
  • Drive procurement planning and execution for hotel and resort pre-openings.
  • Ensure adherence to luxury hospitality brand standards and project specifications.
  • Support sustainable procurement initiatives and green building projects.

Vendor Management & Supplier Development

  • Build and maintain a robust vendor ecosystem across India and international markets.
  • Lead supplier identification, evaluation, onboarding, and performance management.
  • Conduct competitive bidding, e-auctions, and supplier negotiations.
  • Develop long-term strategic partnerships with key vendors and contractors.
  • Establish vendor scorecards and performance monitoring systems.

Budgeting, Cost Control & Cash Flow Management

  • Drive procurement budgeting, cost benchmarking, and spend analysis.
  • Monitor project and operational procurement budgets.
  • Optimize cash flow, payment terms, and working capital utilization.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and timelines.
  • Track procurement KPIs and financial performance metrics.

Operations Procurement

  • Oversee procurement requirements for ongoing hotel and resort operations.
  • Manage sourcing for F&B, housekeeping, engineering, spa, retail, and facility management functions.
  • Ensure uninterrupted supply chain operations and inventory optimization.
  • Standardize procurement processes across operating properties.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, statutory regulations, and audit requirements.
  • Manage import/export regulations, EPCG benefits, and related compliance requirements.
  • Maintain procurement SOPs, documentation, and governance standards.
  • Drive ethical sourcing practices and vendor compliance programs.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop procurement and contracts teams across projects and operations.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Projects, Design, Operations, and Leadership teams.
  • Support strategic procurement planning and business expansion initiatives.
  • Engage with international hospitality brands, consultants, and development partners.

Mandatory

  • 12–20 years of experience in Hospitality, Hotels, Resorts, or Luxury Hospitality Projects.
  • Proven experience in hotel pre-opening procurement and project procurement.
  • Strong exposure to hospitality operations procurement.

  • Exposure to sustainable, green building, or LEED-certified projects will be an added advantage.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Commerce, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
  • MBA / PGDM preferred.
  • Professional certifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Contracts, or Project Management will be an added advantage.
