Our client is an international mobility service provider currently in a phase of stabilization and development in the Hungarian market, with strong growth potential.

Due to the relatively small size of the local organization (approx. 12 employees across 3 locations with a fleet of nearly 300 vehicles), we are looking for a leader who will play a key role in structuring the team, improving operations, and elevating the business to the next level.

In the coming period, the main focus will be on expanding the rental car business and implementing a complex, service-driven strategy.

Key responsibilities

  • Full ownership of the Hungarian operation, ensuring business growth and profitability
  • Design and implementation of the local business strategy
  • Coordination of sales and business development activities and strengthening market presence, with strong hands-on involvement (particularly in the rental car segment)
  • Managing daily operations and ensuring efficient fleet management across rental and operational leasing activities
  • Full P&L responsibility, including planning, cost optimization, and financing activities
  • Managing relationships with external partners and service providers
  • Developing and mentoring the local team (approx. 15 employees), including replacing key talent where needed
  • Implementing international processes and standards, and reporting to the headquarters

Requirements

  • Several years of leadership experience in business unit or sales operations management
  • Experience in mobility, automotive, rental car, or operational leasing is a strong advantage
  • Understanding of fleet-related processes (procurement, financing, remarketing)
  • Proven track record in business development, operations, and financial management (P&L responsibility)
  • Confident communication with financial partners and institutions
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset, proactivity, and results orientation
  • Fluent English and Hungarian required; Romanian is an advantage
