Head of Marketing - €80,000 - 100,000 plus bonus (20%)

We're partnering with an ambitious international fintech business that is investing heavily in its next phase of growth and has recently established a new hub in Madrid. As part of this expansion, we're seeking a transformational Head of Marketing to build and lead a modern, high-performing marketing function capable of driving measurable commercial impact across international markets.

Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, this is a rare opportunity to shape strategy, build capability, and create a world-class marketing engine from the ground up.

The Opportunity

This is a highly visible leadership role with responsibility for marketing strategy, demand generation, brand development, pipeline growth, and team leadership. You'll have the autonomy to define what great marketing looks like, introduce new ways of working, and establish marketing as a critical driver of business growth. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution and bring a proven track record of delivering high-performing demand generation programmes within technology-led organisations.

Key Responsibilities

Drive Growth Through Demand Generation

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive demand generation strategy across multiple
  • markets
  • Build scalable lead generation programmes across paid media, SEO, content marketing, email marketing, marketing automation and ABM
  • Optimise the full customer journey from awareness through to pipeline creation and conversion.
  • Implement lead nurturing and lifecycle marketing programmes that support revenue growth

Lead Marketing Transformation

  • Conduct a full assessment of the current marketing function and create a roadmap for improvement
  • Establish clear KPIs, reporting frameworks and performance metrics
  • Introduce modern marketing practices, technologies and AI-driven capabilities
  • Create a culture of experimentation, accountability and continuous optimisation

Build Brand and Market Presence

  • Develop compelling positioning and messaging across target markets
  • Lead content strategy, including thought leadership, customer stories, webinars and industry insights
  • Oversee events, partner marketing initiatives and market engagement programmes

Develop and Inspire a High-Performing Team

  • Lead and develop an international marketing team
  • Build strong alignment with Sales, Product and Leadership teams
  • Manage agency and external partner relationships

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years' experience in B2B marketing within technology, software, SaaS or related sectors
  • Demonstrated success building demand generation programmes that drive measurable pipeline growth
  • Deep expertise across digital marketing, ABM, marketing automation, content and performance marketing
  • Experience leading and developing marketing teams
  • Strong analytical and commercial mindset
  • Experience applying AI and modern technologies to improve marketing effectiveness
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Based in Madrid or open to relocation

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within financial technology, data, analytics or software businesses
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo or equivalent platforms
  • Additional European languages
  • Previous experience operating in high-growth or transformational environments
