Forward Deployed Software Engineer (New York/Hybrid) - AI Startup (Up to $275,000 base)

We are partnering with a fast-growing AI and data engineering startup (Series A) founded by alumni from some of the world’s leading enterprise technology organizations. The team specializes in delivering high-impact AI, analytics, and operational software solutions for enterprise clients across multiple industries.

They are looking to build out their Forward Deployed Software Engineering Team and this is is an opportunity to work directly with customers to solve complex, high-value business problems using modern software engineering, data platforms, and AI tooling.

What you’ll do:

• Work directly with enterprise customers to understand operational challenges and build software solutions that drive measurable impact

• Design, develop, and deploy production-grade applications and workflows on large-scale enterprise datasets

• Build end-to-end products using Python and/or TypeScript

• Collaborate closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Deliver solutions quickly, iterate rapidly, and own outcomes from concept through deployment

• Contribute to AI/LLM-enabled applications and data-driven operational tooling

What we’re looking for:

• 1–5 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, analytics engineering, or similar technical roles

• Strong coding ability in Python and/or TypeScript

• Experience working with structured and unstructured datasets in production environments

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills

• Ability to operate autonomously in fast-moving environments

• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
