Role Description
Are you a student or young graduate looking to learn and gain experience in Software & AI?
To help us with our product development initiatives, PULSE is looking for its next Software & AI Engineer Intern.
📌 Location:
- Based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
- Office located in Zuidas, inside the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
💼 Employment Type:
- Unpaid internship.
- On-site (with possibility for Hybrid work).
- Duration of minimum 5 months.
- Possibility to start as soon as possible.
📚 Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Develop and maintain the back-end functionalities of our software solutions (mobile app & web dashboards).
- Collaborate with the front-end team to integrate user-facing elements.
- Help maintain current AI algorithms, focused on ML, DL and Agentic AI.
- Be involved in developing new AI models or algorithms.
- Support the software/AI teams in deploying new AI models into our BE/FE applications.
- Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Contribute to the entire app and dashboards' lifecycles, from concept to delivery.
📝 Hard Skills Required:
- Proficiency in front-end frameworks and languages, specifically React, React+Vite, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Good understanding of backend/server-side languages, specifically Python (Flask/FastAPI).
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (specifically PostgreSQL, Firebase).
- Familiarity with Cloud-based solutions such as Firebase and Google Cloud.
- Strong machine and deep learning principles
- Experience with Gen AI and Agentic AI frameworks
- Familiar with PyTorch, scikit learn, lang chain
- Comfortable in taking a developed model/framework and setting it up for deployment
🧑🎓 Educational Background:
- Minimum requirement: currently enrolled in or graduated from a Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
