Backed by significant recent growth investment and experiencing exceptional commercial momentum, the company is expanding its AI engineering team to help build the next generation of intelligent, agent-driven software systems.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an early-career AI Engineer to join a high-performing team building production-grade AI systems at the intersection of large language models, agentic workflows, and mission-critical decision-making.

This is an opportunity for a highly capable engineer who wants a steep learning curve, meaningful ownership, and exposure to real-world AI products deployed in high-impact environments. You'll work alongside experienced AI engineers developing intelligent agents that go far beyond chat interfaces leveraging tools, orchestrating workflows, generating outputs, and automating complex operational processes.

Whether you're a recent graduate with exceptional internships or have up to three years of industry experience, this role offers the chance to grow quickly while contributing to cutting-edge AI systems from day one.

What You'll Do

  • Contribute to agent architectures that can utilize tools, execute workflows, and generate actionable outputs
  • Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs
  • Collaborate closely with AI engineers, product teams, and domain experts
  • Experiment with and evaluate emerging AI technologies and agentic frameworks
  • Help scale AI systems from prototype concepts into reliable production solutions
  • Take ownership of projects and contribute across the full development lifecycle

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field
  • Early professional experience in software engineering, machine learning, or AI
  • Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and software design
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or modern backend technologies
  • Evidence of building real-world projects, products, research, or open-source contributions
  • Interest in LLMs, AI agents, machine learning systems, and modern AI tooling
  • Builder mentality with a strong sense of ownership and curiosity
  • Ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Experience

  • Graduate degree in a technical field
  • Experience through internships at software, AI, defense technology, or data-intensive organizations
  • Research or project work involving LLMs, AI agents, machine learning, or distributed systems
  • Strong GitHub portfolio or demonstrable technical side projects
  • Familiarity with modern AI development workflows and coding assistants

Tech Stack

  • Python
  • Large Language Models (LLMs)

  • Workflow Automation Systems
  • Modern Developer Tooling & AI Coding Assistants
  • Cloud & Distributed Systems

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Must be eligible and willing to obtain a security clearance (or already hold one)
  • Must be comfortable working on national security and defense-related challenges
  • Must be willing to relocate to Pittsburgh, PA and work onsite full-time

Why Join?

  • Build real agentic AI systems—not just chatbot features
  • Work on technology that directly supports critical national security missions
  • Join a company experiencing exceptional growth and market momentum
  • Receive strong compensation, quarterly bonus opportunities, and equity participation
