Profile Summary:

We are building an AI-powered tax automation platform and are looking for tech-agnostic generalists who can move fast and drive innovation across document extraction, automated tax preparation workflows, and integrations with leading tax software.

What We’re Building:

• AI-based document extraction (W-2s, 1099s, K-1s, receipts, brokerage statements)

• Automated tax preparation workflows with human review

• Integration with tax software (Drake, UltraTax, ProConnect, Lacerte, CCH)

• Advisory tools for tax planning

AI / LLM (Production Experience Required)

• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini)

• RAG pipelines: vector databases, chunking, retrieval

• Agent-based systems: tool calling, multi-step orchestration

• Document parsing: PDFs, images, OCR

• Prompt engineering in production environments

Full-Stack Development:

• Backend experience with Java/Spring Boot, Python (FastAPI), or Node.js/TypeScript

• Frontend experience with React or similar frameworks

• Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS / GCP)

• Ability to build and deploy end-to-end solutions independently

Work Style

• Experience taking a project from zero to production (personal, freelance, or professional)

• Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information

• Focused on delivering working software over perfect architecture

• Takes ownership beyond just writing code
