As part of their continued investment in digital transformation, they are looking for an exceptional AI Systems Developer to design, build, and maintain internal applications, automations, and AI-powered tools. Initially, the successful candidate will focus heavily on supporting their bespoke joinery and furniture manufacturing division, helping improve estimating, project delivery, systems integration, and overall business efficiency. Our client owns and operates several businesses across the construction, design, manufacturing, and interiors sectors. They believe technology should be practical, commercially focused, and capable of solving real business problems.

They are seeking a highly capable AI Systems Developer to play a central role in designing and delivering software solutions that enhance productivity, automate workflows, and integrate key business systems. While experience with AI technologies is advantageous, they place greater emphasis on strong software engineering fundamentals, analytical thinking, and the ability to learn quickly.

About The Role

This is a hands-on technical role suited to an experienced software developer who enjoys solving complex operational challenges through technology.

The successful candidate will work closely with directors and operational teams to identify opportunities for improvement, build applications from the ground up, develop integrations between systems, and support the implementation of AI-powered workflows across the organisation.

The role requires someone who is equally comfortable working independently and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver solutions that create measurable business value.

Responsibilities – What you'll be doing:

Designing and developing internal software applications and business tools.
Building AI-powered applications to improve business operations.
Developing integrations between internal systems and third-party platforms.
Building workflow automations to eliminate repetitive manual processes.
Developing dashboards, reporting tools, and data visualisation solutions.
Working with APIs and external software providers to enable seamless data exchange.
Supporting ERP and business system integrations, including platforms such as Xero.
Improving operational processes through technology-driven solutions.
Supporting data management and reporting initiatives across the group.
Collaborating with directors and operational teams to identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency improvements.
Managing multiple technical projects while maintaining high standards of quality and documentation.

Requirements – What we're looking for:

We believe the ideal candidate will demonstrate most of the following:

Minimum 4–6 years of experience in software development and automation.
Strong proficiency in Python as a primary programming language.
Proven experience building software applications and systems from scratch.
Hands-on experience working with APIs and integrating external platforms.
Solid understanding of databases and SQL.
Strong knowledge of software architecture principles and application design.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex business problems using technology.
Experience working independently and managing projects effectively.
Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Professional proficiency in both written and spoken English.
Evidence of progression, increasing responsibility, and ownership within previous roles.
GitHub profile, portfolio, or examples of previous software projects would be advantageous.

Preferred Skills – Nice to have:

Experience developing AI-powered applications.
Familiarity with OpenAI APIs.
Experience working with Claude APIs.
Knowledge of agentic workflows and autonomous systems.
Experience integrating ERP platforms and business systems.
Exposure to manufacturing environments or manufacturing software systems.

Familiarity with workflow automation platforms.

Understanding of cloud infrastructure and deployment practices.

As the client is UK-based, you will be required to align with UK business hours:

Monday to Friday
08:00 – 17:00 GMT
13:30 – 22:30 IST

Pay & Benefits – What we offer:

Annual CTC: ₹15,00,000 to ₹20,00,000 per annum
Fully remote working arrangement within India.
