About The Role

The Engineer, Artificial Intelligence at Mitchell Martin Inc. plays a pivotal role in advancing our AI capabilities by developing and deploying cutting-edge artificial intelligence solutions. This position involves working on innovative projects that utilize Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Generative AI, and Large Language Models to solve complex business challenges. The role requires close collaboration with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to translate strategic goals into scalable AI systems that deliver measurable value. The ideal candidate will have a passion for emerging AI technologies and a strong foundation in developing robust, ethical, and efficient AI models that align with organizational objectives.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field. Alternatively, candidates with a High School Diploma or General Education Degree coupled with over four years of relevant experience in AI/ML development will also be considered. Demonstrated professional experience in developing, training, and deploying AI/ML models is essential. Proficiency in machine learning frameworks, programming languages such as Python, and experience working on cloud platforms are required. Candidates should exhibit a strong ability to learn new technologies rapidly, understand ethical considerations in AI systems, and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. A solid understanding of AI/ML techniques and their application in real-world scenarios is critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Support the execution of machine learning, natural language processing, and large language model deliverables aligned with organizational AI strategies.
Contribute to the development of custom AI models, including Gen AI, NLP, and LLMs, for both batch and stream processing pipelines. This includes data ingestion, preprocessing modules, search and retrieval systems, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and model development.
Collaborate closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and software developers to integrate AI models into production environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
Stay current with emerging AI/ML technologies, tools, and best practices, and recommend innovative approaches to enhance existing solutions.
Apply best practices in data privacy, security, and bias mitigation to ensure ethical AI deployment and compliance with regulatory standards.
Participate in code reviews, documentation, and testing to maintain high-quality AI solutions.
Assist in troubleshooting and optimizing AI models and pipelines for performance and accuracy.
