Role: Applied AI Engineer

We're looking for a hands-on Applied AI Engineer to help build production-grade AI systems for enterprise legal, compliance, contracting, and workflow automation use cases.

This role is for someone who enjoys building beyond prototypes. You'll work on backend services, LLM-powered workflows, document intelligence pipelines, RAG architectures, OCR, vector databases, APIs, and enterprise integrations.

The work involves real customer environments, documents, workflows, and production constraints.

What you'll work on

Build backend services using Python, Flask/FastAPI, and REST APIs
Develop AI workflows using OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, LangChain, LangGraph, and related frameworks
Design document-processing pipelines involving OCR, PDF extraction, embeddings, and document intelligence
Work with vector databases, retrieval systems, and RAG architectures
Build scalable APIs for enterprise workflow automation
Debug production issues and support deployment readiness
Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and deployment teams
Support customer-specific configurations and enterprise solution customisations

What we're looking for

Strong Python development experience
Hands-on experience with Flask, FastAPI, or Django
Experience with API integrations and asynchronous workflows
Working knowledge of MySQL/PostgreSQL
Comfort with Git, Linux, debugging, and deployment environments
Understanding of LLM applications, RAG systems, and AI workflows
Strong problem-solving ability and ownership mindset
Ability to build reliable, production-ready systems, not just proof-of-concepts

Good to have

LangGraph, AutoGen, MCP, or agentic workflow experience
Docker, Nginx, and CI/CD exposure
OCR or Document AI experience
Azure or AWS deployment experience
Basic React knowledge
