Recruit AI seeks a motivated AI Engineering Intern to contribute to our innovative projects focusing on advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning applications. This internship offers hands-on experience working with large language models, asynchronous programming, and modern APIs such as OpenAI and Claude. The ideal candidate is pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields, demonstrating a strong foundation in Python programming and a curiosity about the practical workings of AI systems. This role suits individuals eager to deepen their skills in AI engineering through real-world challenges, collaborative development, and independent problem solving.

As an AI Engineering Intern at Recruit AI, you will engage with personal and team projects involving agentic AI, data pipelines, chatbots, and automated systems. You will learn to navigate and integrate various AI APIs while enhancing your understanding of large language models and their applications in conversation design and prompting. This role requires solid fundamentals in Python, comfort working with Git, and the ability to work independently while contributing constructively within a dynamic team environment. Although this position does not involve managing a team, the role emphasizes proactive learning and innovation in AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based applications focusing on AI and machine learning functionalities using frameworks such as FastAPI.
• Work with asynchronous programming techniques to build efficient, scalable systems that handle AI-driven processes.
• Implement and experiment with large language model prompts and structured output designs to enhance chatbot and agentic AI capabilities.
• Integrate and utilize APIs from OpenAI, Claude, and other sources to develop innovative AI features and automate workflows.
• Collaborate within a team environment while independently researching and resolving technical challenges using documentation and source resources.
• Participate actively in code reviews, testing activities, and the documentation of AI projects to ensure high quality and maintainability.
• Apply knowledge of SQL to manage and query data effectively within AI and machine learning projects.
• Contribute personal AI or machine learning projects to the teams portfolio, sharing insights and practical approaches.
• Maintain version control and collaborate on codebase management using Git.
• Engage in continuous learning oriented towards emerging AI technologies, tools, and best practices.
